What you can do with it

Frequently asked questions

Is it free?
Yes. Every feature is free, with no ads and nothing to upgrade to.
Do I need an account?
No. Open the page and start writing. Your tabs are saved in your browser, on this device.
Does it work for 5-string and 6-string bass?
Yes. Pick 4, 5 or 6 strings in the Tuning menu, including drop D, drop C, D standard, half step down and drop A. Notes move to the right strings when you switch.
How do I share a tab?
Use Copy text to paste it into a forum, Reddit or Discord, or Share to get a link that opens a copy of your tab. You can also export a PNG or a multi-page PDF.
Can I edit a tab I found somewhere else?
Yes. Click Import and paste the text tab. Section names, repeats like x4, and run-together notes like 5h7 are picked up automatically.
Where are my tabs stored?
Only in your browser. Clearing your browser data deletes them, so use Share or Copy text to keep a backup. The site counts visits anonymously and has no accounts.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. The fretboard scrolls sideways and the editing buttons sit at the bottom of the screen. It's roomier on a computer, though.
Is there a guitar version?
No. It's made for bass only, so the tunings, techniques and playback are all tuned for bass.
